New Director for 2024-25

QSI Pápa has a new director for the 2024-25 school year and beyond. Mr. Glenn Chapman is the current director of QSI International School of Chisinau in Moldova. He will be accompanied by his wife, Heather. We look forward to them joining the QSI Pápa school community. Please see their bio below:

Greetings from Chisinau, Moldova!  Glenn and Heather Chapman bring many years of experience in teaching and leadership; 21 of them at international schools. They have taught in Egypt, East Timor, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan; as well as New York, Kentucky and Minnesota. This is their 16th year with QSI. Heather is originally from western New York and holds a Bachelors of Arts in early childhood and elementary education as well as a master of arts in elementary education. She has taught pre-school through 6th grade and has significant teaching experience and training in early childhood special education. She has written curriculum for QSI in the areas of cultural studies, mathematics, science, and language arts. She enjoys baking and craft activities as well as singing and folk dancing. Glenn knows the overseas life style from birth, as he was born in west Africa when his parents were working at an American school. When asked where he is from he often gives the response, “would you like the long story or the short story.” He holds a Bachelors in political science, a masters in teaching English as a second language and 36 post masters graduate credits in educational leadership. Glenn has taught ESL at the pre-school through college level, as well as middle school and high school humanities and technology classes. He has served as athletic director, technology coordinator, director of residence life, director of instruction, with 10 years experience as a school director at various QSI schools. He enjoys soccer coaching, playing and refereeing; as well as anything technology related and folk dancing. Both Glenn and Heather have presented workshops at local, regional, and International levels on topics as diverse as grit, the ABC’s of writing, motivation, critical thinking and innovation. Glenn and Heather are very proud of their three sons and wonderful grandhildren, who live in the United States. They are very happy to be joining the QSI International School of Pápa community and look forward to meeting faculty, staff, students and parents. Glenn believes that learning must take place in a joyful place and strives to make school a place that students, parents and staff can’t wait to get back to!
