To: The QSI Papa Community at Large

At QSI Papa, we are building a Makerspace and a Maker culture.

If you have not heard of a Maker community before it really is as simple as it sounds. This is a community whose members make things. What sort of things? Well, almost anything. This includes things like clothing, woodworks, robots, rockets, musical instruments, food, jewelry, computer apps; almost anything that a maker can imagine and find a way to make real.

This is a request and an invitation. If you make something, then we would like to hear from you. If you have skills in programming or electronics or sewing or cooking or woodwork or anything like that, we would like to hear from you.

We are looking for people who can help in a variety of ways. We need people who can help lead seminars and classes in making. We need people who can advise students with their personal projects. We need makers who can advise us on tool purchases and sets of basic supplies.

Please keep in mind, you do not have to be an “expert” or “leading authority” in your type of making. Part of maker culture is the power of the group and sharing what we do know. In that way we will grow into a strong and thriving community.

Please contact me with your questions and suggestions.

Warm Regards,
