Restrictions Update March 17, 2022

Good news! As of today, we are back to “normal” regarding gatherings (assemblies, PSG, etc.), parents in the building, bake sales, woohoo!

The only restrictions remaining are the COVID-19 guidelines I’ve shared before, reposted below:

  • If a student tests positive for COVID-19 (vaccinated or unvaccinated), that child is required to quarantine for seven days. After five days, however, they can be released with a negative PCR test. In both cases, the student should be asymptomatic.  
  • If there is an illness in class, the duration of the quarantine requirement is five days for all students who are NOT vaccinated. A quarantine is not required for vaccinated students.  
  • If a family member (parent, for example) tests positive for COVID-19, the same rules apply. That is, the duration of the quarantine requirement is five days for children who are not vaccinated. A quarantine is not required for vaccinated children.  
  • If a child has had COVID-19 within the past 90 days, that child should be treated similarly to a child who has been vaccinated. In other words, if a class is quarantined, children who are vaccinated can continue attending school. Children that are unvaccinated are required to quarantine according to the guidelines below. However, if a child is unvaccinated, but has had COVID-19 within the last 90 days, and has quarantined 5/7 (test/no test) days prior, that child can continue attending school without quarantine.
