Good news! As of today, we are back to “normal” regarding gatherings (assemblies, PSG, etc.), parents in the building, bake sales, woohoo!
The only restrictions remaining are the COVID-19 guidelines I’ve shared before, reposted below:
- If a student tests positive for COVID-19 (vaccinated or unvaccinated), that child is required to quarantine for seven days. After five days, however, they can be released with a negative PCR test. In both cases, the student should be asymptomatic.
- If there is an illness in class, the duration of the quarantine requirement is five days for all students who are NOT vaccinated. A quarantine is not required for vaccinated students.
- If a family member (parent, for example) tests positive for COVID-19, the same rules apply. That is, the duration of the quarantine requirement is five days for children who are not vaccinated. A quarantine is not required for vaccinated children.
- If a child has had COVID-19 within the past 90 days, that child should be treated similarly to a child who has been vaccinated. In other words, if a class is quarantined, children who are vaccinated can continue attending school. Children that are unvaccinated are required to quarantine according to the guidelines below. However, if a child is unvaccinated, but has had COVID-19 within the last 90 days, and has quarantined 5/7 (test/no test) days prior, that child can continue attending school without quarantine.
