“Never believe that a few caring people can’t change the world. For indeed that’s all who ever have. ” -Margaret Mead
On Wednesday after school, QSI Pápa’s communication committee hosted an open forum for all interested students 12 and older. We enjoyed milk and cookies and shared ideas for making our school the best it can be.
Students came ready with solutions to offer. Ideas included forming a student council, hosting cultural fundraisers, creating themed events for secondary students, making grades more transparent and accessible, implementing a rotating schedule, expanding after school clubs, forming a safety committee, and broadcasting student-produced morning announcements.
As the forum concluded, many 12+ students committed to working on one or more of these ideas to bring them to life. The next steps are forming teams with a teacher/adult coordinator, and planning and problem solving to make the idea into a reality.
