First of all, thank you to all those who completed the survey concerning our first practice round of distance learning on Wednesday, October 14. We met as a staff at the end of that Wednesday to discuss what went well and what challenges we had. And then we met again after reviewing the survey results.
We’ve learned quite a bit since Friday the 13th, March last year, and we’ve put a lot of effort into preparing for what could happen in the future. The world, after all, has learned that this new technology in the classroom, whether distant or face-to-face, is something that isn’t going away, even though the pandemic will. Tech updates are happening on a daily basis, and it’s our job to utilize these platforms to deliver the best possible education to your children in the most accessible way.
We will have another practice day on Tuesday, November 17, following the same Educational Model #3 that can be found on our website under the COVID-19 Guidelines tab. Your children’s teachers will be contacting you with more information. Feel free to reach out to them as well if you didn’t complete the survey, but would still like to offer suggestions.
Again, we hope to remain on campus teaching face-to-face for the rest of the year, but we will continue to prepare for an alternative nonetheless.
