SPRING READ-A-THON

It’s almost the end of the third week in our Spring Read-a-thon challenge. One third of our parent community has responded to our survey whether your child has met the challenge or not. We hope to receive a greater amount over the next couple of weeks. Maybe your child is reading, but you simple haven’t filled out the survey? About 82% of our responses are up for the challenge to read at least 20 minutes per day (for 5 days in a week). Please receive our digital applause. We acknowledge that we are living in stressful times, but did you know that reading a book or a newspaper for just six minutes lowers people’s stress levels by 68 percent? This is just one of the many reasons why reading a book adds to a wholesome life. Curious to read more about why we should read? Click HERE.

Are you up for next week’s Read-a-Thon challenge? Pictures of your child reading in different places (of your house) can be sent to lariska-muurling@papa.qsi.org. We’ll create a collage at the end of the challenge
